The Only Anolon Advanced Review You Need

The Anolon Advanced Home range is the latest line of cooking equipment from Anolon. The company’s parent Meyer is the largest cookware distributor in the United States. I wanted to find out how good their pots and pans are. This is my Anolon Advanced review which focuses on the 11-piece home collection.

Quickfire verdict: Analon Advanced lives up to its billing of high-performance cookware that lasts a long time. These are some of the best non-stick pots and pans you can find.

“Making every weeknight a win”

The company’s marketing message with its Advanced Home range is that it promises through a combination of performance and convenience to make cooking delicious food a breeze, any day of the week.

I’m happy to report that it definitely lives up to its claims of performance and convenience.

First, let’s take a look at what you get out of the box in this gourmet set:

  • 1.5-Quart (1.4-liter) Saucepan with Lid
  • 3-Quart (2.84-liter) Saucepan with Lid
  • 8-Quart Stockpot (7.57-liter) with Lid
  • 4-Quart (3.78-liter) Sauté Pan with Lid
  • 8.5-Inch Skillet
  • 12-Inch Deep Skillet with Lid

If you’ve read other cookware reviews on this website, you’ll know I get slightly annoyed when lids are counted in cookware sets because they can easily inflate the numbers. You could just as easily call this a 6-piece set with some lids, but it’s a minor grievance to be honest.

Anyhow, the benefits are the main things you’re probably wondering about, so let’s focus on them:

Easy to Clean: These pots and pans are incredibly easy to clean. A quick wipe under some running hot water removes the vast majority of any cooking residue.

Excellent Non-Stick Performance: The proprietary Infinity Slide™ technology gives incredible non-stick performance. My omelet practically glided across the surface.

Quart Markings in Pots: A minor but incredibly practical addition. No need to use a measuring job when there are ready-made markings in the pots!

Attractive Design: Four different attractive color selections include gray, blue, black, and bronze. The premium finish is retained even after multiple uses.

Sturdy Construction: The use of hard-anodized aluminum gives Anolon’s cookware the edge in terms of longevity with an incredibly sturdy build.

Oven’Safe: The pots and pans are safe to put in the oven at temperatures of up to 400 F (205 Celsius).

Easy, Safe Handling: Silicone handles make for safe handling even if you’re grabbing your pot from a hot oven.

Lifetime Warranty: Analon is so confident in this premium cookware range that it promises a lifetime warranty on purchases.

That’s quite the impressive list of benefits, I’m sure you’ll agree! It’s these benefits that make my Analon Advanced review such a glowing one.

What is the Infinity Slide™?

Most of the benefits were probably clear, but no doubt you’re wondering about the Infinity Slide™.  I’m normally quite skeptical of fancy-sounding tech like this, as they often end up being gimmicks. But that’s not the case for Anolon.

The point of Infinity Slide is not only to provide good non-stick performance but to give you lasting non-stick performance. For example, ceramic products usually start off with good non-stickability but end up with rapidly degrading performance.

In fact, Infinity Slide is designed to last 80x longer than ceramic! Not only does this mean longer-lasting performance, but it’s also a greener option; it’s better for the environment.

Are There Any Drawbacks to Anolon Advanced Home?

Yes, there are some drawbacks to the Anolon Advanced Home set that I’ll expand on now

❌ Pricey: At $330 for the set, it ain’t a budget option.

❌ Not Induction Suitable

❌ Not Dishwasher Safe

I personally don’t think the price is a big deal considering the lifetime warranty that Anolon gives customers. The lack of induction cooker suitability is slightly frustrating.

Not being able to put these pots and pans in the dishwasher is also a bit annoying. However, it’s important to remember that they are very easy to clean. Run some hot water and they’ll be spotless within a couple of wipes with a cloth.

Who makes Anolon cookware?

Meyer Corporation is actually the parent company of the Anolon range. Meyer is the largest cookware distributor in the United States and the second-largest in the world. So you know you’re getting pots and pans made by a reputable company that has been in operation since 1981.

Is Anolon Advanced Cookware Safe?

Yes, Anolon cookware is extremely safe. In fact, if you are concerned about toxins, Analon is 100% free of any PFOA

Is Anolon the Same as Teflon?

No, Anolon is not the same as Teflon. Anolon is the brand name of a line of gourmet non-stick, toxin-free cookware made with hard-anodized aluminum. Teflon is the brand name for a type of chemical coating applied to cookware.
